Zhonghuan manufactures the laser-welded, industrial end of the diamond saw blade category — and the work enforces that tier. Dry, high-RPM cutting of concrete, reinforced concrete, and asphalt generates heat and force that a silver-brazed or cold-pressed disc cannot survive without shedding a segment. We build only laser-welded blades (steel-to-steel weld penetration 1.5mm minimum) with tall segments, ellipsoidal anti-crack gullets that stop fatigue cracks radiating from the core under rebar impact, and drop-segment undercut protection so abrasive slurry erodes the segment, not the steel beneath it. For the hardest reinforced concrete we offer our ARIX arranged-diamond tier. This is a different tier of tool — and a different buyer — from the few-dollar cold-pressed discs sold for tile.
What "Laser-Welded" Actually Means
The laser fuses the sintered diamond segment directly to the steel core — metal-to-metal — instead of bonding it with a silver-braze alloy. Norton Clipper patented the first laser-welded diamond blade in 1982 precisely to solve a safety problem: brazed segments could release under dry-cutting heat. The fused joint is what makes a blade rated for dry and high-speed use; the weld is the safety spec. A blade is only as safe as the joint that keeps the segment on the core, which is why weld penetration and fusion — not the diamond grit alone — separate an industrial blade from a consumer disc.

The Weld Is the Safety Spec — How We Prove It
The single QC signature that separates a serious laser-welded blade manufacturer from a re-seller is verifiable weld quality. For every OEM lot we retain a destructive weld cross-section to confirm penetration depth and fusion, tension-test the core to run-out under 0.3mm, and stamp a max RPM rated to each diameter per EN 13236. Suppliers that skip weld cross-section testing produce blades that look identical in catalogue photos but fail under dry, high-speed load. We run a witness cut in your target substrate before volume so the spec is proven, not promised.
