Early-Entry Concrete Cutting · Up-Cut Blade + Skid Plate
Technical visual set for the machine-matched early-entry system: triangular-interface blade, upward cutting rotation, anti-ravelling skid-plate support and shallow contraction-joint cutting.
SDS-Plus / SDS-Max 2-Cutter · IR Carbide Geometry (130° Roof Tip)
Zhonghuan IR 2-cutter drill bit: standard symmetrical roof-tip geometry for stable general-purpose drilling in concrete, masonry and natural stone. The IR product family is distinct from the raised-centering IZ and I7 geometries.
SDS-Plus 2-Cutter · IZ Carbide Geometry (Centering Tip)
Zhonghuan IZ carbide geometry: premium 2-cutter with self-centering carbide tip — controlled-atmosphere mesh-belt brazed, YG8C. The fast hole-starting option for plain concrete, masonry and routine anchor programs.
SDS-Plus / SDS-Max 2-Cutter · I7 Carbide Geometry
Zhonghuan I7 2-cutter geometry combines a pronounced centering feature for controlled hole starts, a reinforced impact zone for stable percussion, and a deep helix flute for fast dust evacuation. Available with SDS-Plus and SDS-Max shanks for concrete, masonry and natural stone.
4-Cutter Cross · ZHMAX-5X / ZHPLUS-5X (5-Series X)
4-cutter cross head with aggressive centering tip and four-flute through-flute geometry — controlled-atmosphere mesh-belt brazed, for heavy-duty concrete and reinforced masonry. Available in both SDS-Plus (ZHPLUS-5X) and SDS-Max (ZHMAX-5X) shanks.
5-Crusher Head · ZHPLUS-5S / ZHMAX-5S (5-Series S)
Four carbide cutters arranged around a precise centering point create the 5-Crusher impact pattern, paired with a deep dust-clearing helix for reinforced concrete, concrete, masonry and natural stone. Available in SDS-Plus (ZHPLUS-5S) and SDS-Max (ZHMAX-5S) shank configurations.
4-Cutter Cross · ZHMAX-5R / ZHPLUS-5R (5-Series R · Reinforced)
The reinforced take on the 5-Series 4-cutter cross — guide ribs for straight tracking, a reinforced shoulder and rebar chamfer for impact life, and a variable-helix flute for faster clearing. Built for rebar-heavy concrete in both SDS-Plus (ZHPLUS-5R) and SDS-Max (ZHMAX-5R) shanks.
SDS-Max · ZHMAX-7 Multi-Insert 4-Cutter
Dominant-primary-blade architecture — one full-width brazed carbide plate carries the main impact load, while two axially set-back side inserts sweep the gauge circle and support peripheral cutting. Open head pockets feed debris directly into the flutes. Controlled-atmosphere mesh-belt brazed YG11C.
SDS-Max · ZHMAX-168 6-Cutter
Flux-assisted furnace-brazed three-piece carbide head forming six active cutting edges around a raised centering point, paired with a deep SDS-Max flute body for reinforced concrete, hard rock, stone and deep-hole programs.
SDS-Plus · 3-Cutter Full Carbide Head
One-piece sintered carbide head ground to a 3-edge (Y) form — no braze joint to crack. The small-diameter full-carbide construction (Ø3–20 mm) that drives straight through rebar and steel deck plate without a tip change.
Rebar Killer · Full Carbide Head · ZHMAX-8 / ZHPLUS-8 (8-Series)
Resistance friction welded (RFW) solid carbide full head for rebar-heavy concrete — no separate brazed insert joint to crack or release, improving resistance to edge chipping during reinforcement encounters. Four-flute geometry and a 180° four-cutter face with active centering; made Ø4–25 mm in SDS-Plus (ZHPLUS-8) and SDS-Max (ZHMAX-8) shanks.
Connection mechanism Why RFW moves the critical joint away from the cutting edge
The difference is not simply whether carbide is present. It is how much of the head is carbide, where carbide ends, and where impact load crosses into the steel body.
-
Brazed insert head
A carbide insert sits in a steel head and is joined close to the cutting zone. Rebar impact and thermal cycling load both the carbide edge and the nearby braze interface.
-
Full head + RFW
The four cutting edges, centering point and head body form one continuous solid-carbide component. Resistance friction welding joins that complete head to the steel body at the recessed neck, away from the individual cutting edges.
-
Performance system
RFW moves the full-head joint away from the individual cutting edges. Carbide grade, weld parameters, neck geometry and flute support then work together to manage impact load, edge stability and joint life in reinforced-concrete drilling.
