Premium Laser-Welded — Not a Budget Pressed Disc

Zhonghuan manufactures the premium, laser-welded end of the wall saw category — and the work itself enforces that tier. A wall saw plunges 200-1000mm through dense reinforced concrete in fixed track motion; a thin cold-pressed or electroplated disc has neither the segment height, the tensioned core, nor the segment retention to survive it. We build only laser-welded blades (1.5mm minimum weld penetration, steel-to-steel) with tall 12-15mm segments, ellipsoidal anti-crack gullets to stop fatigue cracks radiating from the core under rebar impact, and drop-segment undercut protection so abrasive slurry erodes the segment, not the steel beneath it.

For the hardest reinforced concrete we offer our ARIX arranged-diamond option — diamonds set in a controlled pattern rather than scattered, for uniform exposure and faster, longer cutting. This is a different tier of tool, and a different buyer, from the few-dollar pressed discs sold for tile: rig-matched, dry-safe rated, tension-verified, and witness-cut before volume.

What Defines a Wall Saw Blade

Wall saw blades cut vertical walls and ceilings on track-driven hydraulic or high-frequency wall saw rigs — used for door and window openings, MEP penetrations through thick concrete walls, hydroelectric retrofit work, and structural demolition. The cuts run 200-1000mm deep in plunge sequence (entry cut, then arc cut), often through dense rebar. The engineering differences from handheld and floor saw blades drive the spec: heavier kerf for stiff lateral support at depth, taller segments for the long linear meterage, tighter body tension because the rig drives the blade through fixed motion.

The European wall saw market is led by Husqvarna WS-series, Hilti DST, Tyrolit Hydrostress, Pentruder HF (high-frequency), and WEKA. The North American market is led by Diamond Products / Core Cut. Each rig family uses a different arbor — pinhole 60/50mm for European, 1-inch (25.4mm) for North American — and the bond formula is tuned for the rig's torque profile. OEM programs must specify the target rig family to produce a usable blade.

Body Tension — The Hidden QC Signature

Wall saw blade tolerance is the single most underspecified parameter in OEM RFQs. Industry standard: body run-out under 0.3mm at full diameter, verified by deflection test per ANSI B7.1 or EN 13236. Tighter tolerance than handheld blades because the wall saw rig drives the blade through fixed track motion — any blade run-out translates directly into a wider, less clean cut and accelerated bearing wear on the rig spindle.

For OEM RFQs, specify body tension verification by deflection test on every QC sample. This is the engineering signature that distinguishes a serious wall saw blade manufacturer from a re-seller. Suppliers that do not run deflection test on QC samples produce blades that look identical to compliant ones in catalogue photos but fail in field use under wall saw rig torque.
