Three Series, Three Substrates
One spec does not cover every substrate. The tooth geometry and carbide grade a brick wall needs are different from what reinforced concrete demands, and on high-volume daily work the difference between a one-piece shank and a modular adapter is just as real. We build three series so the buyer matches the tool to the substrate and the machine:
- SDS-Plus TCT core bit (YG8C) — for electricians, plumbers, and HVAC installers working in brick, hollow block, and AAC. The SDS-Plus 10 mm shank fits any standard rotary hammer; brazed YG8C teeth cut clean and the spiral flute clears chips without clogging. Replaceable pilot drill. Ø30–160 mm.
- SDS-Max TCT core bit, split-type (YG11C) — for penetrating reinforced-concrete structural walls. The SDS-Max 18 mm shank transmits full impact with no adapter bending loss, and the heavier YG11C carbide is tuned for the impact toughness rebar strikes demand. Modular: pilot, adapter, and barrel replace independently. Ø68–160 mm.
- SDS-Max TCT core bit, one-piece forged — the shank is machined directly onto the barrel, removing the runout and power loss of a modular shank-adapter interface. No joint to loosen, no accumulated play, no vibration path. For operators drilling 30–50 holes a day the hole-quality gain and reduced fatigue are immediate. Ø30–65 mm.

TCT Core Bit vs Diamond Core Drill
Both are ours, and they cut hard material by different mechanisms. A TCT carbide core bit hammers — driven by a rotary hammer, the carbide teeth chip through masonry and reinforced concrete fast and dry, ideal for cable, conduit, and pipe penetrations through walls. A diamond core drill grinds — on a rig with water, it gives cleaner walls, larger diameters, and deeper holes, and it is the tool for natural stone and the most heavily reinforced or high-strength concrete coring. Pick the TCT core bit for fast dry wall penetrations; pick the diamond core drill for clean, large, or deep wet coring.
