Product Series

One series cannot serve all substrates. Brick needs different geometry and carbide than reinforced concrete. An integral shank performs differently from a modular adapter under daily production loads. Choose the series built for your material and your volume.

SDS Plus/Max TCT Core Bit

One replaceable-pilot core-bit family in two shanks: SDS-Plus for brick, hollow block and AAC, SDS-Max for full-energy drilling through reinforced concrete. Brazed carbide teeth, helical chip evacuation, and a pilot drill you replace on its own instead of scrapping the assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which series should I choose — SDS-Plus, SDS-Max 2-Piece, or SDS-Max One-Piece?

Use three criteria: (1) Wall material — brick, block, or aerated concrete → SDS-Plus; reinforced concrete or dense masonry → either SDS-Max series. (2) Machine — standard rotary hammer → SDS-Plus; SDS-Max hammer drill → either SDS-Max series. (3) Volume and precision — occasional large-diameter penetrations where component replaceability matters → SDS-Max 2-Piece (replace only the worn pilot drill); daily high-volume or precision-fit work where wobble causes problems → SDS-Max One-Piece (one-piece, zero joint play, less fatigue).

What is the difference between the SDS-Max 2-Piece and SDS-Max One-Piece?

Both are SDS-Max and both cut concrete. The 2-Piece is an assembly system: pilot drill, adapter, and barrel are separate components. This is useful because when the pilot drill wears out, you replace only that part — not the full assembly. The One-Piece is a single forged body with the SDS-Max shank machined directly into the barrel: no joints, no play, higher concentricity, measurably less vibration. One-Piece suits high-volume professional sites where hole roundness and operator fatigue matter. 2-Piece suits occasional large-diameter work and buyers who prefer field-replaceable components.

Can these cut through reinforced concrete with rebar?

The SDS-Max 2-Piece and SDS-Max One-Piece series are rated for reinforced concrete. YG11C carbide teeth are selected for their impact toughness when the tool contacts steel rebar. The SDS-Plus series is optimized for brick and AAC — it will cut light concrete but is not designed for steel rebar contact and will wear prematurely.

Is the pilot drill replaceable?

Yes in the SDS-Plus and SDS-Max 2-Piece series — the pilot drill is a standard SDS-Plus bit supplied as a separate replaceable component. In the SDS-Max One-Piece series, the pilot tip is part of the forged integral body and is not a separate replaceable item — the integral one-piece design is specifically what distinguishes that series.

What applications are TCT core bits used for?

Primary MEP applications: HVAC sleeve penetrations (air-conditioning unit mounting, duct routing), electrical conduit entry points through masonry or concrete, plumbing pipe passages, cable tray routing through partition walls, and fire-stopping sleeve installations. Ø30–160mm across the full range. SDS-Plus covers Ø30–160mm in masonry. SDS-Max 2-Piece covers Ø68–160mm for large penetrations in concrete. SDS-Max One-Piece covers Ø30–65mm for precision high-frequency applications. Custom diameters available on OEM orders.

What is the working depth range?

Working depth by series: SDS-Plus 70–150mm for standard partition walls; SDS-Max 2-Piece up to 300mm for thick structural walls; SDS-Max One-Piece 70–150mm for typical wall thicknesses. Custom working depths can be specified on OEM orders.
