400 mm SDS-Max Self-Sharpening Chisel Set | Point + Flat

Our two-piece SDS-Max set combines a 400 mm self-sharpening point and 25 × 400 mm flat chisel for concrete demolition. Premium 42CrMo and OEM factory supply.

Zhonghuan Tools SDS-Max two-piece set: self-sharpening pointed and flat chisels

Our two-piece SDS-Max chisel set pairs a 400 mm self-sharpening pointed chisel with a 25 × 400 mm self-sharpening flat chisel. One starts focused fractures; the other gives a straight working edge for controlled material removal. Together, they form a practical demolition and renovation set for professional contractors, distributors and OEM tool brands.

We combine complementary working profiles with our premium 42CrMo alloy-steel specification and application-matched heat treatment. The result is a clear, repeatable factory program: two essential chisels, one machine interface and an order specification built around the job.

One set, two complementary working ends

Included toolQuantity per setDimensionsMain role
Self-sharpening pointed chisel1400 mm overall lengthFocused penetration and starting local fractures
Self-sharpening flat chisel125 mm edge width × 400 mm overall lengthControlled chipping, directional removal and adjustment

Both tools use the SDS-Max connection. The set contains two chisels: one pointed and one flat.

400 mm Twisted Point Chisel for Local Breaking

The pointed profile concentrates initial contact into a small working area. It is the starting tool for local breaking, opening a fracture path and attacking a defined spot in concrete or masonry.

The formed working end gives the point its distinctive self-sharpening profile. Its geometry is designed to remain useful as the tool wears, supporting sustained penetration through repeated work. For the operator, the benefit is a working point developed around continued breaking performance rather than just its first contact with the material.

Shape the removal with the 25 mm flat chisel

Once a section has opened, the flat chisel provides a directional cutting edge for removing strips, trimming loose material and adjusting the working boundary. The 25 mm edge makes it a useful companion for localized concrete correction and masonry work.

Its formed ribs and recesses are part of the working geometry. They help define contact around the cutting end and support material separation. Moving between point and flat allows the crew to choose the contact shape the task needs while using the same SDS-Max machine platform.

Self-sharpening geometry supports consistent progress

Both profiles are designed to retain an effective working shape during wear. That supports longer working intervals with less dependence on frequent regrinding. The point and flat serve different stages of removal, giving buyers a more useful set than two identical profiles.

For a fair sample comparison, assess the worn shape and completed work as well as the new edge. Record the time spent breaking, repositioning and freeing the tool. This connects the self-sharpening design with the contractor's actual working cycle.

Match the 400 mm set to the machine and material

The shared 400 mm overall length keeps both tools within a consistent reach class. Select the working position and exposed length around the task, then confirm that the hammer supports these accessories.

The set is intended for concrete, stone and masonry breaking, chiselling and material removal with a compatible SDS-Max rotary or demolition hammer. Use the supported chiselling mode with rotation stopped. SDS-Plus holders are a different interface. If reinforcement interrupts the job, follow the project method and use an appropriate tool for the steel.

Premium steel, matched heat treatment, repeatable supply

Our premium chisel program uses 42CrMo chromium-molybdenum alloy steel. The working end needs resistance to wear and permanent deformation, while the body, transition and connection must carry repeated impact loads. We specify geometry and heat-treatment requirements together to balance those functions.

For an OEM order, the approved specification brings together material, overall length, flat-edge width, shank fit, finish and marking. Retained reference samples and agreed acceptance requirements provide a practical basis for repeat orders. Direct factory communication lets distributors turn sample feedback into a defined production requirement.

Build a professional two-piece chisel program

This point-and-flat pairing gives tool brands and distributors a concise product story: start the fracture, then control the removal. It is suitable for building a focused SDS-Max demolition assortment around the machines customers already operate.
