A Y-cutter is a hammer-drill head with three carbide cutting edges at 120° around a self-centering tip — the geometry premium brands sell as Heller's Trijet. Zhonghuan Tools manufactures it as a factory-direct OEM and private-label program, built full-carbide-head only: one sintered carbide head, resistance friction-welded to the steel body, with no brazed segments and no braze seam to crack.
This is the single-piece construction — the path the premium brands themselves use at smaller diameters. We supply it in SDS-Plus Ø3–20 mm, and at small-diameter SDS-Max up to ~Ø25 mm (our ZHMAX-8 full-head class, resistance friction welded). Above that ceiling the one-piece carbide blank stops being economical for everyone — Bosch SpeedXtreme included — so heavy SDS-Max reverts to our ZHMAX-7 multi-segment head.
Why buyers source the Y-cutter from us
Three blades keep at least two engaged at all times: the bit centers, shears rebar without deflecting, and holds gauge for anchor-grade round holes. The full carbide head removes the brazed-joint failure mode entirely. You get the Heller-Trijet geometry as a premium-tier private-label line — your own brand, without a Heller-tier price point.
