Drill Bits for Reinforced Concrete and Post-Installed Rebar

We supply SDS-Plus and SDS-Max drill bits for concrete anchors, post-installed rebar holes and installation work in reinforced concrete. Choose the cutting head, working length and extraction method around the specified hole, substrate and rotary hammer.

When the bit meets existing reinforcement

A change from concrete to steel can alter cutting loads, debris and drilling progress. Stop to identify unexpected obstructions. Existing reinforcement and embedded services must be addressed under the project plan. Post-installed rebar means installing new bars into prepared holes; it does not automatically require cutting the original reinforcement.

Compare complete cutting-head construction

A full carbide head uses a continuous carbide cutting structure, but still has a head-to-steel-body joint. Joint design and quality remain part of tool selection. Four cutting edges do not by themselves establish a full carbide head: separate carbide plates can also form a four-cutter layout. For reinforced-concrete duty, compare the exact product rating, head support, carbide grade and joining specification.

Match the bit to the machine and hole

Select SDS-Plus or SDS-Max to match the holder, then check the hammer’s recommended drilling range. Specify hole diameter, drilled depth and sufficient working length separately. Longer tools need clearance, alignment and a suitable machine; extra length alone does not establish suitability for deep reinforced-concrete holes.

Choose carbide and body specifications by application

We match carbide grade, steel body and joining method to the selected model and impact duty. Share the concrete and aggregate condition, expected reinforcement encounters and current failure pattern. The engineering choice balances cutting-edge support, toughness and wear resistance. Material names alone do not establish a universal bar diameter or guaranteed hole life.

Prepare anchor and rebar holes

For mechanical anchors, adhesive anchors and post-installed rebar, follow the chosen system’s drilling method, diameter, depth and cleaning procedure. Hollow dust-extraction bits collect dust while drilling. Separate cleaning may be reduced or omitted only when the exact bit, extractor and installation method are permitted by that system. Diamond-cored holes can have different cleaning or roughening requirements.

Assess the complete drilling cycle

Compare samples using the same concrete, hole dimensions and hammer. Record accepted holes, drilling and cleaning time, interruptions, edge wear and head-joint condition. Follow the tool and machine instructions for feed, mode and debris clearance. Investigate abrupt loss of progress or damage rather than imposing a fixed withdrawal interval on every drill.

Build an OEM assortment for professional buyers

Our SDS-Plus and SDS-Max programs can combine full carbide head drilling with suitable conventional fluted or hollow dust-extraction configurations. Match accessories separately to the actual holder. Pointed and flat chisels support local breaking and adjustment where the work plan calls for material removal.

Request a reinforced-concrete drilling quotation

Send the products, hole diameters, working lengths and quantities, destination country and container type or size. Include the hammer model and application so we can propose the matching construction. We confirm model specifications and sample acceptance before arranging bulk OEM supply.
