The value of a star-profile chisel begins at its working end. Longitudinal recesses and raised ribs converge toward the point, with geometry and material treatment designed to support effective penetration as the accessory wears. For crews breaking concrete, point retention and interruptions caused by jamming are meaningful factors to compare.

A good chisel serves the demolition part of the job
Construction crews move between drilling, local breaking, channeling and installation. A suitably specified star-profile point handles concrete-breaking tasks, while flat, wide or angled chisels address channeling and stripping.
Chisels remove material by impact. Drill bits create holes with specified diameters and depths. A professional selection covers both operations so that suitable tooling is ready when the crew changes tasks. The accessories work together in the construction sequence and are fitted separately.
| Construction task | Rotary-hammer bit | Chisel |
|---|---|---|
| Renovation and equipment installation | Drill designated fixing holes | Remove local old concrete, mortar or projections with the suitable point or blade |
| Local concrete alteration | Complete drilling required by the work plan | Break with a matched point and control finishing with a flat chisel |
| Service installation and channel work | Drill fixing holes or other specified holes | Form and finish channels with the appropriate flat or channeling tool |
| Repair and reinstatement | Drill for the approved installation system and follow its cleaning requirements | Remove designated material and prepare for the next operation |
The work plan determines the sequence. Anchor holes must meet the relevant system requirements, and work involving reinforcement follows the approved scope. Coordinated tooling supports the actual project tasks.
Why pair a premium chisel with a quality drill bit?
Well-matched demolition tooling addresses part of the workflow. If the drilling accessory is poorly matched to diameter, depth or dust evacuation, drilling can still interrupt progress. A useful construction combination considers both operations.
For drilling, we start with substrate, aggregates and reinforcement conditions, followed by machine platform and impact duty. Diameter, working length, cutting-head architecture and flute design guide the selection. For chiseling, the removal task and existing wear or jamming problems guide the working end and treatment requirements.
The crew obtains accessories selected around a complete job, and the buyer can organize the corresponding specifications together.
Choosing the drill-bit side

For professional installation and everyday concrete work, we can begin with the corresponding ZHPLUS-5X or ZHMAX-5X four-cutter range and match it with pointed, flat or stripping chisels.
Demanding concrete-drilling projects can also be evaluated with ZHPLUS-8 or ZHMAX-8 full-carbide-head bits. SDS-Max applications may be considered with ZHMAX-7, depending on the job. Hole size, depth, substrate and sample performance guide the selection.

Our premium chisels use 42CrMo alloy steel, with geometry and heat treatment matched to the intended hammer duty. When a star profile is requested, we review the reference geometry, machine model and work requirements, then confirm dimensions and sample acceptance criteria.
Two proposed construction combinations
These are starting configurations for engineering confirmation. Exact models, dimensions, quantities and packaging follow the project.
| Configuration | Drilling selection | Chiseling selection | Application direction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Option A: Professional construction | Platform-matched 5X four-cutter bits in the required sizes | Point and flat chisel; evaluate a star profile for sustained penetration and add stripping tools where needed | Installation, maintenance, everyday concrete and masonry |
| Option B: Demanding construction | Platform-matched 8-Series full-carbide-head bits; evaluate ZHMAX-7 for relevant SDS-Max work | Premium 42CrMo star-profile or self-sharpening point program, matched to the machine and complemented by the required flat chisel | Sustained drilling and breaking where interruptions and durability matter |
Group SDS-Plus and SDS-Max separately. Confirm supported modes and accessory sizes even when connection names match. Drill bits operate in the prescribed drilling mode; chisels require a supported hammer-only chiseling mode.
We supply chisels and rotary-hammer drill bits together
We offer chisels with our SDS-Plus and SDS-Max rotary-hammer drill bits for distributors, private-label brands and professional construction customers. The program can use individually packed accessories or a coordinated case, with OEM marking and packing arrangements discussed for the order.
Individual replenishment specifications allow customers to replace accessories according to actual consumption. Samples, packaging and delivery can be reviewed against the same combination list.
Send us the hammer model, construction material, hole diameters and working lengths, chiseling task and quantities. We will help configure a professional drilling-and-breaking combination for your construction application or sales program.
