Our ZHMAX-7 SDS-Max head combines one full-width primary carbide blade with two inclined, axially set-back side cutters. Benchmarked against the Bosch SDS max-7 architecture, this three-piece, four-cutter system is engineered for strong penetration and progressive rebar engagement.
The primary blade supplies the main cutting span. The side inserts add peripheral cutting and guidance as contact shifts between concrete, aggregate and reinforcement. Open head pockets feed debris into the spiral flutes to support continued progress in deeper holes.
Virgin carbide, a heat-treated 42CrMo body and mesh belt furnace brazing form our professional multi-insert construction for concrete and rebar drilling.
ZHPLUS-8: Full-carbide precision on the SDS-Plus platform
ZHPLUS-8 brings a one-piece full-carbide four-cutter head to professional SDS-Plus drilling. Its integrated carbide geometry is engineered for the repeated impact and changing contact conditions encountered in reinforced concrete.
For installation and anchor-hole work, our priorities are accurate starts, controlled rebar cutting, effective dust clearance and hole-diameter retention. The SDS-Plus interface gives buyers a distinct machine fit within the same reinforced-concrete drilling program.
ZHMAX-8: Full-carbide strength for demanding rebar drilling
ZHMAX-8 combines a one-piece full-carbide four-cutter head with our resistance-friction-welded head-to-body construction. It is engineered for demanding SDS-Max work where cutting-head integrity, rebar engagement and gauge retention are central requirements.
The integrated head, its connection to the steel body and the flute system work as a complete assembly for drilling concrete and embedded reinforcement within the product's approved size and machine range.
ZHMAX-168: Six-edge control for reinforced concrete
ZHMAX-168 uses three carbide plates to form six active cutting edges around a raised centering point. This is our six-cutter option for heavy-duty drilling in reinforced concrete, hard aggregate and rock.
Its rebar-drilling emphasis is multi-edge engagement, stable tracking and round-hole control. The three-plate head works with a heat-treated 42CrMo body and mesh belt furnace brazing to support demanding drilling loads and repeatable multi-insert production.
Full carbide or three-piece multi-insert: what changes?
A full-carbide head forms the cutting head as one integrated carbide piece, attached to a steel drill body. ZHMAX-7 instead uses one large full-width primary blade and two smaller side inserts, each seated and brazed into the steel head. Both architectures can form four working cutting edges; the number of carbide pieces is different from the number of cutting edges.
The full-carbide approach emphasizes an integrated cutting head. Our ZHMAX-7 approach combines a leading primary blade, inclined set-back side cutters, steel-seat support and open debris passages. We match these construction choices to rebar contact, aggregate, machine energy, hole diameter and depth. Neither architecture alone establishes a universal speed or service-life ranking.
